Consultations with our vets provide routine health checks, monitoring of long term conditions and investigation of illness
Consultations with our skilled vets are available by appointment for routine health and wellness checks, vaccinations, monitoring of long term conditions and for pets that are unwell.
Consultations for routine health checks allow our vet teams to get to know you and your pets, and for your pets to feel comfortable visiting the practice. It also allows us to pick up signs of illness early, allowing us to take action to avoid a condition worsening to the point where it becomes much harder to treat. This can help significantly improve your pet’s wellbeing and quality of life.
We try to reduce stress for your pets so they feel as calm as possible when they visit and use a variety of techniques to help your pet feel relaxed with us. If you would like advice about keeping your pet calm during a visit to Aquarius Veterinary Centre, please contact our nursing team.
During a consultation, our vets will examine your pet, investigate any concerns and discuss any recommendations for further tests, treatment or the management of health conditions. There are often a number of ways to treat a condition, so we are happy to discuss the options to help you make the right choice for you and your pet. Our friendly vet team at Mildenhall take pride in working in partnership with you, to keep your pets happy and healthy and are always pleased to answer questions if there is anything you are unclear about.
At Aquarius Veterinary Centre, we also use acupuncture to complement conventional veterinary medicine. Acupuncture can be helpful for lameness, strains, sprains, chronic pain and recovery from orthopaedic and spinal injuries. We are happy to discuss with you whether acupuncture may be beneficial for your pet, so please ask a member of our team if you would like to know more.
For pets with very complex needs, we may advise a referral to a specialist. We have several excellent referral practices close to Mildenhall and the surrounding area who are happy to take referrals from us.
